What do the lights mean?
  • Red: water flowing in from the lake, ¾–1½ knots.
  • Amber: neutral or weak current.
  • Green: water flowing out to the lake, ¾–1½ knots.
  • Flashing red or green: faster than 1½ knots. Extra caution!

Recreated here from the USGS canal sensor. It's an interpretation, not the bridge's actual signal.
